The Society was founded in 1968 by Joy Attwell

who was a well renouned potter in Cranleigh

We  meet regularly at the Band Room in Village Way, Cranleigh, GU6 8AF on Saturdays from 2.30 to 4.30pm

Now in its 50th year the Society still continues to welcome and encourage those interested in art and crafts, whether experienced or absolute beginners.

To this end all members can exhibit at our Exhibitions, Craft Market,  join Outings and informal indoor and outdoor Painting Days.

We hold ten demonstrations each year introducing new artists and techniques as well as hosting returning artists.

Demonstrators booked for this year include Soraya French, Jake Winkle, Melanie Cambridge and Stephen Hawkins.

We are happy for visitors to join us at any of these demonstrations with a £3 donation.

Yearly membership is £23 single and £28 family.

From 1st July half year membership is £10 and £12.50 respectively.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic all events at the Cranleigh Art and Crafts Society have been cancelled for the start of 2021.

Well we are still in lockdown but the good news is that the vaccine roll out seems to be a success and we could be looking at a much better summer than last year. We are still not able to organise any demonstrations yet but it is hopeful we may manage an Autumn Exhibition.

If you have any lockdown pictures you have painted and would like to show them off on the website then please email the membership secretary.
